Kenedy Reid signing his book during a Book Club meeting

Hi! My name is Kennedy Reid, and this website, Portmore.Info is where you can come to find out ALL the details of Jamaica's Sunshine City of Portmore. We have information here; from an estimate of the population size, to politics, to an indepth and unique road map.

In the over 15 years that I am a resident, I was intricately involved in my community and built the first community website. This current version is geared towards keeping historical data available while providing an outlet to ensure present-day activities are also recorded.

Since I was so interested in the preservation of Portmore's history, I have also written an extensive book called "The Story of Portmore." It became a labour of love and through the collaboration of corporate sponsors, the book was able to be published with 300 pages.

Apart from the presentation of detailed historical information, the book also has put together some of the most rare and picturesque images of Portmore. So much so ... that we subtitled the book, "An Illustrated History of Jamaica's Sunshine City."
